Our beginnings
Founded in 1986 by Robert R. Ward, Sr., R.W. Communications grew from a background in telecommunications into a communications and technology integrator. Our heritage began with Bell Telephone Company, part of the AT&T story, and developed into work across structured cabling, wireless networking, telephone systems, audio/visual integration, and building security.
The tools have changed over the decades, but the purpose has stayed consistent: help organizations use technology that supports their work. A dependable connection, a well-planned phone system, or a room that is easy to operate should make the business more effective, rather than create another problem to manage.

Our home in Central Pennsylvania
We are based at 5535 Allentown Blvd in Harrisburg. Our home region includes Central Pennsylvania and State College, with projects in surrounding regions such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Delaware, Maryland, and New York. We also consider nationwide travel when the project is a good fit for both parties.
